In 2008, the electricity access rate in rural Mali was below 11%. In view of the challenges of electrification and development of rural areas in Mali, solar energy is seen as a strategic technology.
The SIDI has asked Enea to work on the technical and organisational terms ensuring sustainable access and spreading of photovoltaic systems in rural Mali. As such, in this report, Enea improves the knowledge of the sector’s private organisations, suggests support architectures tackling the problematic, and highlights critical points by market segments.
