A company business model consistent with our goals, combining economic and social performances
Since we are due to portray the changes we are willing to observe, we couldn’t recommend the innovation and the setting up of durably efficient models and projects without being innovative ourselves. [CONTEXT]
Energy, a sector closely connected with Climate
Whether as heat, as electricity, as fuel for transportation, as a mean to provide industrial projects with utilities, or as an answer to consumers demand, energy is omnipresent and essential for the economic expansion. Fossil energy resources are rarefying. Developing new and lower carbon footprint sources is one of the stakes justifying the creation of a model answering both industrial and emerging countries needs, while minimizing the impact on climate change. Developing renewable energy sources, minimising greenhouse gases emissions, and optimising the energy consumption relies on innovation, key factor of success of an abundant and climate friendly energy.… and Development
Access to an affordable energy, essential service and necessary mainstay for people and countries development, is a prerequisite in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), introduced by the United Nations. Though energy is a mainstay for economic expansion, it is not equally shared. 1.6 billion people, living in developing countries, don’t have access to electricity, and the population pressure is estimated to more than 3 billion people by 2050, almost exclusively in developing countries. Innovate to provide access to an abundant and clean energy to people yet lacking it induces the setting up of sustainable economic industries and new income for local people.Requirement to innovate
Even though innovation appears to play a major role in the answer to these stakes, it is worth mentioning that it needs to be global: technological, economic, environmental and social, in order to :- Ease the emergence of the market conditions allowing the development of “green” industries and energy access means (regulatory and financial mechanisms, investment, development assistance).
- Understand the actual environmental and social impact of energy production means and industrial projects, so as to measure the global performance and control the impact on the environment and mankind.
- Facilitate the technological progress of the most globally efficient solutions, while taking into account the geographical, economic and social specificities, both in industrial and developing countries.
